Labor Day Weekend Fun!

Clayton and Claire continue to keep me busy and on the go.....I love every minute of it. Claire is growing up way toooooo fast. Having an older brother around, she seems to pick things up very quick!!! We have introduced the whole potty thing to her. She seems a bit interested at times! We are taking baby steps!

Clayton is still ALL boy. He loves the outdoors. Anything that he can do to be with his dad makes him very happy. He LOVES the farm life. He has two calves that he has helped to take care of. He named them Jeff and Bob!!

Claire loves to get right in and tag along with Clayton. He is going to make her rough and tough! She loves to ride the tractor and four wheeler with her daddy. She thinks she is pretty hot stuff!

Clayton and Claire

Brotherly and Sisterly love!!!

My little John Deere Girl!

ADM Family Safety Night. Clayton got to sit in Papa Mark's Crane!! He thought he was cool stuff!!

We had a visitor on Father's Day...I couldn't believe it. Clayton named him Tim the Turtle. We found him in our yard right outside our door. Yikes, he was a snapper and was quite ugly!

It's About Time!!!!

Wow, time really got away from me....so sorry I have not posted since Easter. Can't say I have a real good excuse either! I am loving being home everyday with Clayton and Claire. They are so much fun :) They are at a great age this summer to be outside, go swimming, and to just get up and go with whatever. We are over the baby stage which is quite nice.
Clayton is a very busy three and a half year old. He loves the water. We just recently bought him a small dino pool which he absolutely loves. The big swimming pool that has been at the house forever has been moved to a new location. My mom and dad are proud owners of a nice big pool now! I just decided it was getting to be way to much work with two little ones. We are hoping to get it up this weekend. It doesn't bother me to know that the kids and I can get in the car and drive 15 minutes to grandma's and swim. I was very thankful my mom and dad were willing to take the pool.:)
My little Claire bear is going to be 18 months at the end of June. Kinda brings a tear to my eye. She is growing up so fast. She loves her big brother so much and learns a lot from him. She is talking more and trying so hard to make words. Her tubes have helped her lots. She is not so sure of the water. She would rather watch her crazy brother!!
Troy and I just celebrated our 6th anniversary. Hard to believe. We are getting ready to head to Omaha this Friday as a good friend of mine from high school is getting married. My mom has offered to keep the kiddos.I hope it is a good trip. Should be lots of fun!

Now I promise I will post some new pics SOON. I need to download pictures from my camera!!!

Hoppy Easter!!

We hope everyone had a super Easter. Clayton and Claire were both spoiled by the Easter bunny. We had a lot of fun spending time with family. Clayton really enjoyed the easter egg hunts. We managed to get to three different ones. Claire on the other hand could of really cared less about getting eggs. She would pick an egg up and throw it like a ball!

Clayton got his first actual 4-Wheeler. It is very cute. He is very proud of it and does a good job of driving it. I will have to post some pictures of him on it later. I am enjoying my short spring break. Hard to believe tomorrow is my last day. Not quite sure where my 4 day weekend went!????

Bunny #1

Bunny #2
I tried to get a picture of the two of them together in their Easter clothes but that was nearly impossible. Picture taken is getting a bit harder! They were both proud of their Easter ears though!

What's Going On????

Well, where does time go? I have been slacking a bit on keeping the blog up to date...oops!
February was a busy but short month at the Meyermann household. Our daily routines keep us on the go! Clayton had an appointment in Iowa City on February 17th for his 3 month check up since his surgery. He had to get an MRI before we saw Dr. Shilanski. He was not real wild about having to get an iv, but we survived! Everything looked great. Hopefully we will not have to visit the hospital in Iowa City for another year. We hope Clayton stays bump free!!

Claire continues to be my wild child. She is on the go, and I mean on the go. She loves to run. It is so cute to watch her. It looks like she just got off a horse as she looks a little bow legged! Claire has been battling ear infections all winter and is having a hard time getting rid of fluid behind her ear drums. She sees Dr. Dixon again in 2 weeks. He will put her on the ear machine again to monitor her eardrums. If she flunks a third time our only choice is tubes. That doesn't excite me a whole lot, but talking with other parents with kids who have gotten tubes they say they are wonderful.Keep your fingers crossed and let's hope the fluid is gone......

Troy is keeping busy with work and with the cows. He just recently did a little project in my kitchen. He has been wanting to knock a hole in my between my kitchen and living room forever. I finally gave in. I kept putting it off as I did not want to deal with the mess. Needless to say he did a great job. We are at a stand still as we are waiting for a counter top to create a breakfast bar on the kitchen side. I do have to say that my living room looks bigger, which was the goal and the whole purpose of the project!
We are all heading off to the state basketball tournament in Des Moines tomorrow afternoon to watch my cousin Mitch play in the championship game tomorrow night. He is a senior this year at Linn Mar. They beat Bettendorf this afternoon to advance on. It should be a fun time. I hope the kids are good!!..........

Harper Kay Miller
10:00 p.m.
Just one hour old!
I watched Harper get cleaned up for awhile. Harper was wide awake and very alert. She just laid there and looked around! She is a perfect baby girl....very long! Yes, you are seeing some dark hair!

Proud mom and dad....Dani you look so good!

The proud Aunt and Uncle....we went out to eat in Clinton awaiting a phone call that we could come and meet our new little niece!

Saturday.....Harper is a little over 12 hours old. Clayton could not wait to meet his new baby cousin. He asked lots of questions about Aunt Dani and the baby. Clayton relates a hospital with being sick. After his latest experience with a hospital I would have to say that it is not his favorite place to be! He was very excited to take a balloon to Dani and Kyle. He was quite cute with Harper. I think he will be a great big cousin and do a great job of looking after her!!!
Claire is going to wait and meet her new cousin once everyone is home. She has a bit of a cold, so therefore I wanted to keep her away. I will have to say I was kinda sad...she is no longer a baby. She is going to look quite big next to her new playmate!!!

Disney on Ice

This past Saturday Troy, Clayton and I had the opportunity to go to Disney on Ice at the I wireless Center in Moline. Wow, it was cool. Clayton is really into the movie Cars. He really likes the tow truck as well as Lightning McQueen. The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell were also there too. The show lasted almost 2 hours.

Before the show we had some time so we had to stop by and see all the cool John Deere things....Clayton had lots of fun climbing into really cool, big machines! That is right up his ally!!! Don't be fooled his dad has just as much fun too! I will try and post pictures soon......

Claire is doing well. She is walking everywhere now!! She is quite the little ham.

We are still waiting patiently for Aunt Dani to have her baby. Clayton and Claire are quite excited to get a new baby cousin.

Clayton is so cute....he was just getting ready to go up to bed. He came and gave me a hug and kiss. I asked him, Clayton, who's our new president?" He answered, "Barack Obama." He continued by saying, "Can we go see him?" "Where is he at?" I simply replied I don't know if we can go see him. He lives in Washington D.C. at the White House. Clayton replies, "Why?" I said, "because that is where he works." Clayton says, "why?" I gave him another hug and said to him go ask your dad if you can go see Barack Obama....... Like any typical 3 year old, he is hooked on always asking "Why!" You gotta love them!!!
